Top 3 daily supplements

In today’s blog entry I would like to share with you the top three vitamins that I take every single day. Vitamin C - My favorite vitamin C is lyposomal delivery (insert hyperlink on product name). Why do I like lyposomal delivery vitamin C? The reason that I like it is because the liposomes allow the vitamin C to go straight into the cells. It absorbs compared to the vitamin C that is over the counter. A lot of Vitamin C is synthetic and you don’t get the good absorptions that you get from the lysosomal delivery vitamin C. The product comes in packets and it is a liquid. I take it like a shot in alkaline water. It is not going to mix with water, but the water makes it easier to take orally. I take this every morning. Vitamin C is so important because it’s a great antioxidant and its great for tissue regeneration and collagen formation. The other vitamin I take is vitamin D, and I also take this in liquid form. I prefer to take my vitamins in liquid form whenever possible. Vitamin D is an extract from the wool of sheep. It is vegan or vegetarian friendly. Vitamin D is important because most of us are deficient of vitamin D because we are not sitting in the sun anymore. We need at least 5,000 IUs of vitamin D per day in order to be at the optimum level of health. Vitamin D is so important with the immune system, not just with bone density. Of course we need the calcium absorption in order for our bones to be strong, but deficiency of vitamin D has been found in association with different cancers, immune disorders, and a variety of many condition. Take vitamin D daily, but make sure you measure your levels with your health practitioner. The third supplement that I take is omega 3 fatty acids. Omega 3 fatty acids can be from a vegetarian source as well as a from fish oil. Crill or algae oil is from plankton which comes from the sea, and this is my favorite source for omega 3 fatty acids. If you take fish oil, that is great - just make sure it is a pure form of fish oil and does not have a high level of mercury. For those of you who are vegan or vegetarian you can take omega 3 from flaxseed or algae.  If you have any questions, please tweet me @askdrsanda.
